Life's a dream or live your dreams

Salam~

Yeah, got a few comments on the blogsite and on the topics that was written. I actually wanted to blog every other day but missed it yesterday, so here's the replacement. What I found amazing was that when I published the blog, within minutes if not seconds, it appeared on the web clips of my Google Desktop. I wondered if it was only my desktop but someone from class of '60 got wind of it, made a comment to visit his blog and link our blog to his. Even our "alley oop" (a blogger), made a comment and it showed this thing really goes to world wide web in real time! Such power of technology that we have now is the dream of yesteryears.

Next, nazi found a website belonging to the late Kasim Junit and forwarded it to us. Thanks. The site talks about his dreams amongst others but the premature (or is it predestined) death in less than a year (after the dream was conceived) put an end to it all. That really put a perspective on life and dreams, at least for me, on where or when one stops or begins another. But then, it's a question of intention and one will be rewarded for starting it and leave the end to the Almighty.

So, is our life a dream or do we live our dreams; is up to us to answer and realise it. After all, getting bullied by seniors on our very first day of registration is a dream now (not a nightmare huh, mas & nyff) and getting to bully seniors in the corporate and business world is an option now (if you have the clout). However, you may want to check out Kasim Junit's website on options to make your life a dream instead, as I did but prefer for now, to stick to my current activity. Of course, you'll get to know when my dreams come to true and I am living my dreams (God willing), in the coming pages of this blog and in real time! See you then...

Wassalam.

P/s: I've made changes to the blog and have added the prayer time for KL (at bottom of page), so when in KL, you can use this site to check it out. Also, I intend to put old photos instead, so if you've got any worth putting up, just email me.

Our first day in MCKK or just another day in passing

Salam~,

Looks like a slow start to this blog thing. I have sent out invitations to members to become contributors but only two have responded and one registered. Guessed the rest are blur about this or just don't have the time or inclination for this frivolity but i'll march on.

So far no one has responded on the exact date of the day we first set foot in MCKK. Hmm, docs nazi and adris, i'm sure you guys have got great memories, that's why you got to be doctors in the first place - just kidding. I'm sure someone has record of the date but needs to be coaxed to respond.

Anyway, moving on with the new hijrah year, let me share on why i'm motivated to setup this blog. Two days ago, I was checking my mail and browsing blogs and saw the message about Kasim Junit, our senior, being in coma due to serious brain haemorrhage on 28th February. Members of his batch were communicating his status updates through their blogsite. I spotted his own posting dated 15th February, that "BRU is still alive and kicking..." and by 2nd March he has passed away.

So guys, life is short and precious and one could be alive and kicking one day but two weeks or two days later transitioned to the other world. As he is only one year older than us and some of our batchmates are in that age too, shouldn't we be looking to ourselves and wondering who's next? Alfatihah to allahyarham Kasim Junit, may his soul be blessed.

P/s: Anyone has recollection of how he was in college? I'm totally blank here as he could be one of the quiet ones who didn't bother us that time and all I was told he was a short, fair guy from Kuantan.

Start of MCV75 Blog - March 0n!!!

Salamun'alaikum or Peace be upon you all,

If i remember correctly, we first stepped foot in Malay College in March 1974 though the exact date escaped me. If anyone can correct that, we can have that date on record as the day our lives and times are intertwined.

In view of changes in technology and to keep up with the times, made me as of today, 1st March 2006, start this web-log or blog for short, for members of MCV75 to share what is left of their lives and times and to preserve memories of old times for posterity, hence the name of this blog.

I welcome you all to this new mode of communication and we just might as well shutdown our e-group list in favour of this. This may end past episodes of malicious postings and compromised systems.

We can link with other related blogsites so as to enrich the experience - so, start your posts now!

Wassalam.

P/s: For a start, suggestions and recommendations from members on the form and format of this blog are welcome and we'll take from there as i believe this medium is more dynamic. March On!!!
